Optional, always
If it earned its place
hyprmac is free, and it stays free. There is no paid tier and no licence key for the window manager — the beta you downloaded is the whole thing, and a donation buys you nothing extra.
What a donation buys is time. Every measurement on this site — the three parking mechanisms, the eleven-point drag offset, the wall clock that ran all night — came out of an evening spent chasing something that only showed up on real hardware. That is the work being supported.
Wisper is still in development and how she will be released has not been decided. A donation is a thank-you for hyprmac, not a pre-order for anything else.
Payments are handled by Stripe. Card details never touch this site, and no account is created for you.
Want to hear when things ship?
Donating does not put you on any list — Stripe only ever sees what it needs to take the payment. If you would like to hear about new releases, ask for it here instead.
Only when there is a real release. No tracking, no forwarding to anyone, and you can leave any time.
Other ways, all of them free
Report what breaks
With ~/Library/Logs/hyprmac.log attached. Half the fixes on this site exist
because a bug turned out to be reproducible once someone said exactly what they did.
Tell someone who tiles
Anyone who has run hyprland and then had to use a Mac. There is no marketing budget here and there is not going to be one.
Send a window that will not tile
The bundle id and the size it insists on. Every app that refuses setFrame
makes the minimum-size detection better for everyone.
Nothing at all
Genuinely fine. Use it, and if it saves you an hour a week, that was the point of building it.
